Hurray for Mondays! We have a bunch of updates available today: two versions of Dynamo Core and the Dynamo Dictionary all have gotten a small refresh.

Core Updates

Two new patch versions of Dynamo Core will be available today as stable builds on dynamobuilds.com: Dynamo Core 1.3.4 and Dynamo Core 2.0.2. These releases are mainly centered around the following:

  • updating our geometry library to support changes in Tsplines
  • supporting an initiative we have towards providing a more secure experience when you connect to any web service through Dynamo like logging into your Autodesk account or accessing the package manager
  • fixing a major bug with the zipping library that returned “bad read of entry . . .” that made it difficult for package developers to release updates

The two releases contain very similar updates, but with one exciting difference. Dynamo Core 2.0.2 marks the first stable release that is compatible with the newly announced Refinery beta.  Below is an overview of both releases. For more details, visit our Release Notes.

Dynamo Core 1.3.4:

  • Compatible with Revit 2017, 2018, and 2019
  • Contains updates to TSplines
  • Updates security protocols when logging in with your Autodesk account and accessing Package Manager
  • Issues with zipping library have been fixed

Dynamo Core 2.0.2:

  • Compatible with Revit 2017, 2018, and 2019
  • Compatible with the new Refinery Beta
  • Several critical 2.0 bugs have been fixed
  • Contains updates to TSplines
  • Updates security protocols when logging in with your Autodesk account and accessing Package Manager
  • Issues with zipping library have been fixed

Dynamo Dictionary

We are also pleased to announce that we have updated the Dictionary to be 2.0 compatible. We introduced some new nodes and moved things around significantly in the library, so we wanted to make it easy for you to understand how to use each of these new nodes just like in previous versions! You can see all the info about a node from its inputs and outputs to even getting a more in-depth description and an example graph showing how to use each node in a workflow.
